Tall claims of local railway authorities in maintaining cleanliness and providing best infrastructure fell flat once again as Aurangabad Railway Station failed to make it to the top 100 stations amongst 611 stations under NSG (non-suburban grade) category.
As per the findings of Swachh Rail, Swachh Bharat 2019 report, Aurangabad Railway ranked 515th amongst the stations in parameters ranging from cleanliness to basic infrastructure.
The report was released by Indian Railways after the survey was conducted by Quality Council of India (QCI) a few days ago. The audit committee has given 606.23 marks out of 1,000 (Total score is out of 1000 and each component (Process Evaluation, Direct Observation, Citizen Feedback weighs 33.33% of total score) to city railway station while measuring the different parameters falling under welfare of commuters.
