Aurangabad Industrial Township Limited (AITL) on Wednesday held a roadshow in Hyderabad to attract investors from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, for setting up of industries at the Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC).
Highlighting the features of the Smart City to a business gathering in Hyderabad, Joint Managing Director of AURIC, Gajanan Patil, said “AURIC is expected to attract investment of Rs 60,000-70,000 crore from global players and help generate employment for lakhs of people.”
Investors setting up facilities in the city include Hyosung Corporation of South Korea, the largest global spandex producer. Several global companies from the US, Europe, Russia, China, Japan and South Korea have also been considering investments in AURIC.
He further said that industries based in AURIC may generate around $11.6 billion through exports, in value, while industrial output would be $46.2 billion. The sectors they are looking forward to are food, textile andInformation Technology.
