CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis’ Speech in Maharashtra Legislative Council on Aurangabad Garbage Issue

Highlights of CM Speech:

1. State Government will make available ₹86.21 crore fund for Aurangabad SWM project.

2. Aurangabad is producing 430 MT garbage per day. When we do the scientific segregation of waste, it becomes wealth. We have prepared DPR for this project at Aurangabad. 9 CEOs working in Aurangabad to solve this issue at the earliest.

3. Principal Secretary, Urban Development visited Aurangabad and gave 5 point plan to resolve this issue. As of now 76% of garbage is collected and 24% we will be able to collect by 17 March. CM appeals for public support while replying in Council.

4. When Aurangabad DP was prepared in 1975 and revised in 2002, no provisions made for solid waste management.
