Tender floated for Construction of Aurangabad Package of Access Controlled Nagpur Mumbai Super Communication Expressway

MSRDC, in last week invites Request for Qualification (RFQ) from eligible agencies for Construction Of Access Controlled Nagpur Mumbai Super Communication Expressway Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg in the State of Maharashtra on EPC Mode for 13 packages out of 16, including Aurangabad Region Package for Construction of Access Controlled Nagpur – Mumbai Super Communication Expressway (“Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg”)

MSRDC invites bids for Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway by March end. Evaluation and selection of bids will take a month after March, Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation officials said; work expected to start in May.The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has invited technical and financial bids from shortlisted contractors by end of March for the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway, putting Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ dream project back on track.

The MSRDC, its executing authority, has already missed two deadlines to begin on-ground work for the ambitious Rs46,000 crore project — October 2017 and January 2018 — owing to strong resistance from farmers over land acquisition. Work is now expected to start by May. Officials claim that more than 60% of the land acquisition for the project is complete.

The scope of work will broadly include Construction of Access Controlled Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway (Packages 8-10) (the “Project”) under Engineering, procurement & Construction (the “EPC”), Viaduct, Minor Bridge, Major Bridge, VUP, PUP, CUP, Intersections, Grade Separators, Structures, Tunnels , Fencings, , with Rigid/Flexible pavement, Drainage works, Traffic Control Devices, Road Safety Devices and road side furniture, road connectivity to townships by suitable interchanges, traffic and safety management such as Emergency Telephones, CCTV etc., Toll Plaza/Interchange, Patrolling Services, Variable message System, Portable Variable Message System, Landscaping, Slope protections, Toll Management System with ETC, retaining wall, Tunnel, culverts, Toll Plaza, Bus Bays, Wayside Amenities etc. in the State of Maharashtra (the “Project”) under Engineering, Procurement & Construction (the “EPC”) and other facilities as per standard & liability period which shall be 5 (Five) years.

The selected Bidder (the “Contractor”) shall be responsible for designing, engineering, procurement and construction of the Project under and in accordance with the provisions of an engineering, procurement and construction contract (the “EPC Contract”) to be entered into between the Contractor and MSRDC in the form provided by MSRDC as part of the Bidding Documents pursuant hereto. The Contractor shall also be responsible for the maintenance of the project during the Defect Liability Period, which is expected to be as per clause.

The complete BID document can be viewed / downloaded from official portal of http://mahatenders.gov.in from February 12, 2018 to March 28, 2018 (up to 14.00 Hrs. IST). The pre proposal conference will be held on February 28, 2018 (at 15.00 Hrs. IST) at MSRDC office, Bandra, Mumbai. Bid must be submitted online only at http://mahatenders.gov.in on or before March 28, 2018 (up to 14.00 Hrs. IST). Bids received online shall be opened on March 31, 2018 (at 15.00 Hrs. IST).
